“The significance of the cherry blossom tree in Japanese
culture goes back hundreds of years. In their country, the cherry
blossom represents the fragility and the beauty of life. It's a reminder
that life is almost overwhelmingly beautiful but that it is also
tragically short.” - Homaro Cantu
Cherry Blossom season has to be one of the most beautiful seasons in Edinburgh but also one of the briefest. This is the first year I haven't stayed in Edinburgh during Cherry Blossom season so I don't have quite as many photos as I normally would, or so I thought... I recently sorted through some of my photos and came across a selection of photos I didn't get around to posting to Instagram so I thought it'd be a nice idea to document this beautiful season in a blog post. I hope you enjoy the few photos I chose and if you didn't get a chance to visit Edinburgh during the season then I hope you get a chance to experience a slice of the magic of it!
That's all for now! Hope you have a lovely day wherever you are.
